iIPC Jobs

Zimbabwe Labour Market Intelligence

Every vacancy, employer, skill, salary, place and workforce event collected here is treated as an observation with a source, a date and a trust score. Vacancy data measures advertised demand. It is not a measure of employment or of unemployment in Zimbabwe.

How a vacancy becomes data

A vacancy is first recorded as an observation with the exact text seen, the address it came from, the time it was retrieved and a fingerprint of its content. The observation is tied to a registered source that has a named owner, a stated collection method and a permission basis. Only then is it treated as a job. If the same vacancy is later republished, the fingerprint stops its age from resetting. If a verified employer advertises the same role directly on this platform, the external record is superseded rather than deleted, so the history stays intact.

What this platform will not do

It will not present advertised demand as employment. It will not combine United States dollar and Zimbabwe Gold figures. It will not publish a figure computed from a group too small to protect the people in it. It will not publish a legal proposition that has not been checked against its source and reviewed by someone qualified in Zimbabwe. It will not track the appointment, departure or dismissal of chief executives, which is outside the purpose of a labour market observatory.
