What an employer may do on this platform depends on how far its identity has been checked. The state is shown on every advert, so a job seeker can tell the difference between an employer that has proved who it is and one that has not.
The five verification states
| State | Can build adverts | Can publish | Badge shown | What it means |

| Unverified | No | No | None | The account can build adverts and save them as drafts. Nothing can be published until at least the domain is verified. |
| Domain verified | Yes | Yes | Domain verified | The account controls the email domain it claims. Adverts can be published, and the first few are reviewed before they go out. |
| Organisation verified | Yes | Yes | Verified employer | The organisation itself has been checked against a registration record. Adverts publish immediately and carry the verified badge. |
| Restricted | Yes | No | None | A trust concern is open. Existing adverts are hidden or carry a warning, and nothing new goes live until the concern is closed. |
| Suspended | No | No | None | The account cannot post. Adverts are withdrawn from view and from every published figure. |
