Who is responsible
Industrial Psychology Consultants (Pvt) Ltd of 1 Grosvenor Road, Highlands, Harare, Zimbabwe is the data controller for everything on ipcjobs.org. Enquiries about personal information go to ipc@ipcconsultants.com.
The lawful basis for holding your information
- Consent. You give us your details in order to be found for work, and you may withdraw that at any time by editing or deleting your profile.
- Performance of a contract. We cannot match you to a vacancy, or pass your application to an employer, without holding what you told us.
- Legitimate interest. We keep a record of adverts and applications so that fraud can be traced and so the labour market figures this site publishes can be produced.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for your race, your political opinions, your religion, your health, your trade union membership or anything else the Act treats as sensitive, and you should not put any of it on your profile. If a CV you upload happens to mention such a thing, it stays in the text of your CV and is not extracted into any field, counted in any figure, or used in any matching.
Where your information lives
On a server operated for Industrial Psychology Consultants. Your CV and your profile are not copied to any other company. The only personal information that leaves the server is your email address and the text of a message, when a message is sent to you, which is delivered through Microsoft.
Automated decisions
Matching on this site is done by software, and it does rank you against an advert. It never decides alone whether you are hired, and every match shows the reasoning behind it in plain words so that you can see why you were or were not put forward. An employer always chooses.
Figures published from this data
This platform publishes labour market figures built from adverts and profiles. No figure is ever published about a group so small that an individual could be picked out of it: a group of fewer than three is withheld and the withholding is stated on the page. Nothing published names a job seeker.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is lost, taken or disclosed when it should not have been, we will tell the people affected and the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe without undue delay, and we will say plainly what happened.
Written to describe the system accurately. It is not legal advice and a qualified practitioner should review it before launch.
