Control Room Operator

A Control Room Operator is responsible for two way radio communication, switch board telephones attending incoming and outgoing calls. The role involves coordinating and dispatching response teams, maintaining constant communication with guards, clients, and emergency services, and ensuring all incidents are handled according to protocol. The operator must remain alert, make fast decisions under pressure, and maintain detailed records of all activities to support effective security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managed the security communication hub, facilitating real-time radio/phone updates between on-site personnel, clients, and management, and directing all formal liaison efforts with emergency services.
• Accurately record and document all incidents, maintaining detailed logs and occurrence books in real time.
• Conduct routine system checks and prepare reports regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Work closely with other operators, field guards, and supervisors to ensure seamless control room operations.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and communicate updates to various departments as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 O' Levels
• 1+ Years of Experience in a similar role
• Strong Computer Literacy
• Proficient in CCTV monitoring and alarm receiving systems
• Experience operating two-way radio communication systems.
• Ability to work 8 - 12 hour shifts, including weekends and nights
• Excellent attention and calm demeanour under pressure
