Part-Time Accountant

The NEC for Detergents, Edible Oils and Fats Industry is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Part-Time Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports;
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and general ledgers;
• Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flows;
• Managing accounts receivable and payable, including debtors' age analysis;
• Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets;
• Ensuring timely statutory submissions and tax compliance;
• Assisting with payroll accounting and related reconciliations, where applicable;
• Supporting annual financial audits and preparation of audit schedules;
• Monitoring expenditure and ensuring adherence to approved budgets and internal financial controls;
• Advising management on financial performance, risks and opportunities for improved financial sustainability.

Requirements

• A Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
• ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification;
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience;
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations and statutory compliance;
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel;
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills;
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
