Employment Status

Its very difficult to get a job when you're currently not working, I got three prospective employers/ recruiters who reviewed my CV and were interested with moving forward. However, whenever they would ask where I am currently working and I would say my contract ended two months or a month ago, immediately the conversation reaches a dead end.

Its really sad that employers/recruiters do not take into account that contracts end, lay offs and retrenchments happen, also an employee may leave because of a toxic working environment or any other reason that may cause one to be out of work.
