Head of Sports

Victoria Falls Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Head of Sports to lead and develop our school sports programme. We are looking for a dedicated sports professional with a strong background in teaching and coaching, ideally within an ATS school environment, who can combine sporting expertise with excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the school's sports programme across the primary school.
• Deliver and coordinate high-quality teaching, coaching and sporting activities.
• Plan and manage fixtures, inter-school competitions, tournaments, sports festivals and tours.
• Coordinate sports staff, facilities, equipment and sporting schedules.
• Foster a culture of participation, teamwork, discipline, resilience and sportsmanship.
• Ensure child safeguarding, inclusion and the holistic development of every pupil.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in sports science, physical education, sports coaching or a related field.
• Proven teaching and coaching experience, preferably in an ATS school.
• Strong leadership, planning, administration and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider sporting community.
• A passion for developing children of all abilities and promoting a lifelong love of sport.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child.
