Accounting Officer

Global Sourcing Zimbabwe is a dynamic business specialising in sourcing and importing machinery, trucks, motor vehicles, equipment, accessories and various other products from local and international markets. We also provide company registration, tax clearance and related business consultancy services. We are looking for a qualified, competent and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our team and contribute to our financial management, tax compliance, import operations and business administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain accurate financial records and accounting statements.
• Manage tax compliance matters, including tax calculations, returns and tax clearance processes.
• Calculate customs duties, import taxes and other applicable charges for imported machinery, trucks, cars and other goods.
• Assist with customs documentation, import declarations and customs clearance procedures.
• Prepare quotations, invoices, receipts, financial reports and other accounting documents.
• Monitor company income, expenditure, cash flow, budgets and financial transactions.
• Assist clients with company registration, tax registration and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, customs regulations and financial reporting requirements in Zimbabwe.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, financial institutions, clearing agents, suppliers and clients on accounting and import-related matters.
• Provide financial advice and support management in making sound business decisions.

Requirements

• A recognised degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Postgraduate or advanced professional accounting qualifications, such as ACCA, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean tax laws, customs duties, import procedures and statutory compliance requirements.
• Practical experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting and customs-related calculations.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Important: The successful candidate must also meet the applicable legal and professional requirements for appointment as an Accounting Officer for the company's business structure.
