Site Foreman (2 Positions)

Caslara is seeking two safety-driven, hands-on Site Foremen to lead artisans and general hands on our project sites. This is a high-impact supervisory role for a trade professional who can turn the Site Engineer's plans into organised daily work, protect quality workmanship and keep every worker safe, while delivering at the planned rate.

The role is designed around internationally recognized quality-management principles, including customer focus, leadership, the process approach, evidence-based decision-making, risk-based thinking and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate daily tasks to artisans and general hands from the Site Engineer's work plan, and confirm that materials, tools and plans are on site before each task starts.
• Set out minor works from the Site Engineer's reference points and drawings, and track daily output against targets, reporting shortfalls on the day.
• Check all civil works progress, and ensure work is ready for inspection before it is covered up.
• Correct poor workmanship immediately and show workers the right method, ensuring concrete mixes, curing and material handling follow the specification.
• Run the daily toolbox talk, ensure every worker wears the correct PPE, inspect scaffolds, ladders, trenches and edge protection, and stop unsafe work.
• Report incidents and near misses to the Site Engineer and Site SHE Officer at once and keep the site tidy with waste cleared daily.
• Confirm attendance with the Site Timekeeper, induct new workers on site rules, safety and the Code of Conduct, and deal with minor conduct issues.
• Train and coach general hands in basic trade skills and the safe use of tools, reinforcing teamwork and accountability.
• Request materials through approved requisitions, control their use to reduce waste and theft, and issue and recover tools daily.
• Complete the daily work record of tasks done, labour and plant used, and record quantities of work done by each gang for measurement purposes.
• Report material shortages, plant breakdowns and delays, and pass on any client or consultant instructions to the Site Engineer on the same day.
