Key Responsibilities

• Captures and registers Bills of Entry and customs declarations.
• Verifies invoices, packing lists, permits, certificates and supporting shipment documentation.
• Prepares and organises customs documentation for submission and processing.
• Monitors shipment progress and cargo movement.
• Follows up on border clearances, inspections and cargo releases.
• Maintains accurate physical and electronic filing systems and operational records.
• Prepares operational status reports and shipment updates.
• Communicates routine shipment updates to clients and liaises with transporters, warehouses, border agents and service providers.
• Supports ZIMRA and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Assists the Operations Officer with daily operational activities, cargo release and movement processes.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Customs Clearing, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding, logistics or administration is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding documentation.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and computer literacy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
