Reports to: Chief Public Prosecutor, through the Set-down Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sign for and record dockets from the Set-down Office and allocate official case numbers.
• Type and edit charges, Summons, Indictments and other legal documents for High Court set-downs.
• Extract and copy documentary exhibits, including affidavits, post-mortem reports and statements, ensuring every exhibit is a complete.
• Prepare and file the Docket Movement Book, recording date of submission to the Prosecutor General.
• Maintain the Docket Movement Book, recording date of submission to the Prosecutor General.
• Dispatch completed indictments, subpoenas and dockets to the Set-down Office for service on accused persons.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent.
• Five Ordinary Level passes including English Language at Grade C or better.
• Two years in executive secretarial or senior administrative support.
