Management Accountant

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded and analytical Management Accountant to oversee financial planning, cost control and management reporting while contributing to business growth and decision-making. The ideal candidate must have proven leadership experience, strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align financial performance with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports and performance analyses.
• Lead budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
• Analyse financial performance, expenditure and budget variances, recommending corrective action.
• Monitor costs, profitability and operational performance to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring effective service delivery and accountability.
• Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters on behalf of the organisation.
• Strengthen financial controls, accounting systems and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business planning, resource allocation and growth.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• At least three years of relevant accounting or management accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team or department.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cost management and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to engage and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and strong decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of integrity and accountability.
